Critical Reflection

A good learning journey is to learn from your own mistakes. Writing skills have always been a hinder to my daily written. Even though writing skills are not of my proficiency, I would still make it a point to write down the idea that I would want to deliver through. By doing so, I could read the sentence repeatedly and make the necessary amendments. However, I may not spot the mistakes in my sentence as revised sentence may sound error-free but the is some sentence structure fragments. Therefore, after trying to correct the mistakes I wrote, will then seek help from my team members for any advice on changes after their reading the rephrased sentences.  While focusing on the writing skills, I realized how grateful I am towards my team member for giving me the guidance and correcting the necessary sentences or phrase. In the process of project meetings and rushing out the drafts for submission, or even the project final presentation, they would try to help me and strive for the ...

Revised Technical Report (Parts of main body)

III. Background Trolleys are operated significantly on integrity and responsibility of users. However, shoppers have been abusing the use of trolley by pushing it home for their own convenience. After usage, they simply abandoned it underneath the void decks and along the pathways as shown from photo that are being circulated online (See Figure 1a & 1b). With such media coverage, it reflects badly on Singaporean’s behavior and forms a bad impression for Singapore. This problem seek attention and required a solution. Despite the constant efforts to tackle this issue, the amount of stolen trolleys remain consistent over the years. In 2016, FairPrice lost 1,000 trolleys that cost approximately S$200 each. This is an increase from 800 trolleys five years ago. This shows that the implementation was not effective as the management had been spending more than S$150,000 on trolley substitutions and repairs. Moreover, manpower cost is incurred as additional staff are hired specifically ...

Analytical Reflection

I felt that during the mock oral presentation, I was not well prepared and could have done better. Adequate preparations boost the confidence of delivering the information to the targeted audience. It is the learning process of better understanding the information that my teammates and I had worked on and putting all the information together into a short 15 to 20 minutes oral presentation. Small details such as the attire of the presenter are the first impression given to the audience. Presenting professionally with appropriate gestures delivering the presentation to the audience shows the confidence in the proposed purpose of the delivery. Grabbing of the audience attention is equally important, as the main purpose is for them to know more about the proposed solution and how it will benefit them and the public. Most importantly is to rehearse the slides with the teammates multiple times so that when we are presenting, it will be smooth and does not seems like it is bein...

Technical Proposal Draft 1 (Pointers of the main proposal)

1. Background Grocery shopping customers spend twice as long scouring general store paths as they did ten years back – in light of the fact that they need to locate the best arrangements and most beneficial nourishment, as indicated by an investigation (We now take TWICE as long to do our weekly shop because bargain hunting is not just about saving money - we enjoy the thrill of feeling thrifty). To address the concern of this proposal, there is unwanted waste of resources from all supermarket in Singapore. In the year 2016 alone, FairPrice lost 1,000 trolleys, each costing about S$200. This is an increase from 800 trolleys five years back. The general supermarket has spent more than S$150,000 on trolley substitutions and repairs, and the labor expected to recover relinquished trolleys. (FairPrice Press Release,2016) This is a severe problem that demands a solution that could benefit the management of the various supermarket as well as the customers utilizing the facility. ...
