Analytical Reflection

I felt that during the mock oral presentation, I was not well prepared and could have done better. Adequate preparations boost the confidence of delivering the information to the targeted audience. It is the learning process of better understanding the information that my teammates and I had worked on and putting all the information together into a short 15 to 20 minutes oral presentation. Small details such as the attire of the presenter are the first impression given to the audience. Presenting professionally with appropriate gestures delivering the presentation to the audience shows the confidence in the proposed purpose of the delivery. Grabbing of the audience attention is equally important, as the main purpose is for them to know more about the proposed solution and how it will benefit them and the public. Most importantly is to rehearse the slides with the teammates multiple times so that when we are presenting, it will be smooth and does not seems like it is being read out of a script.

During the mock presentation, the delivery of the detailed information on the proposed solution with enthusiasm, passion, confidence, the tone of pitch and eye contact was not fully utilized. However, during the presentation, due to inadequate preparation before-hand, the slides were not being fully explained in detail and hence the low confidence in presenting the slides. Being concise and clear in my visual presentation, showing the important pointers to the audience and elaborating more from the presentation slides is important. Varying my gestures and tone during my oral presentation would make a difference to maintaining the audience attention.

    After hearing your actual presentation, I could tell that you were a lot more prepared as compared to your mock presentation. You were able to articulate your words better and clearly bring across what you intended to tell the audience. Thanks to the mock presentation, we were able to identify our weaknesses before the actual presentation and rehearse more together as a team. You were more confident and composed during the actual presentation. WELL DONE!

As compared to mock presentation, you sounded more confidence and presented your points in a clearer manner which enhance the audience understanding.
